Let’s be honest, Lagosians, if you drove past Livelygems Schools on May 27th and didn’t hear the laughter, music, and holyghost party floating into the streets, you may need to check your car radio. Because Children’s Day 2025 at Livelygems was nothing short of heavenly joy on Earth.
From the first clap of morning assembly to the final spoon of dessert, the children weren’t just celebrated, they were honored, pampered, and yes… fed like royalty. Because if you must raise godly children, why not do it with face paint, laughter, and a three-course meal?

The Face Paint of Glory and the Laughter of Saints
By 9:00 a.m., the school compound was transformed into a Christian funfair.
Children came ready, with party dress, sneakers, and that “I’m about to eat cake” look.
The teachers? Already sweating from organizing teams for musical chairs, balloon races, and Bible-themed charades.
Let’s not lie: Oluwatishe’s face paint started looking like Apostle Paul by noon, but that didn’t stop the fun. Livelygems pupils danced, played, and laughed like David in 2 Samuel 6:14, with all their might!
Because the Lord Provides, Three Courses of It!
Now, some of us grew up thinking party rice and capri-sun was the standard.
But Livelygems said, “Hold my apron.”
Parents, imagine this:
✅ Starter: Light fruit medley with a refreshing drink
✅ Main course: Spaghetti, boiled egg garnished with cucumber and lettuce (not the “blink-and-miss” type o!)
✅ Dessert: A sweet, child-friendly treat that made Imelda ask, “Is this manna?”
And the best part? It was all provided by the school. No lunch packs, no last-minute shopping for Capri-Sun. Just pure, organized, godly excellence.
Laying Godly Foundations, One Game at a Time
🔻Yes, they played.
🔻Yes, they danced.
🔻Yes, there was face painting and balloons that flew into the heavens.
But Livelygems didn’t forget the mission, laying godly foundations.
Between games, pupils gathered for short devotionals and gratitude moments and their teachers reminded them;
“You are children of promise. God made you for joy, for purpose, and for greatness.”
It wasn’t just a party. It was a declaration of faith over every child present.
Behind the Scenes, The Teachers Deserve Medals
Let’s take a moment to hail the heroes behind the scenes.
The teachers who coordinated 100+ energetic children without losing their minds or their Bibles.
You haven’t lived until you’ve seen a teacher chase a child covered in face paint who “accidentally” started the spoon race without a spoon (yo, yo, yo, I am kidding😂)
One pupil told Mrs Funke,
“Aunty, you are a good person. You should be president.”
Honestly, we agree.
Dear Lagosians, This Is How You Celebrate Children, The Livelygems Way
Children’s Day isn’t just about popcorn and bouncy castles. It’s about reminding our children that:
❣️They are loved.
❣️ They matter.
❣️And God has a plan for them, even if they currently spill juice every time they drink.
At Livelygems Schools, excellence meets faith, and every child was reminded that joy and holiness can go hand-in-hand.
To the Parents Reading This…
If your child came home with colored cheeks, cake crumbs, and stories that started with “Then Ayomide fell during the dance battle…” you did well.
You’ve found a school that celebrates both growth and godliness, one fun memory at a time.
From All of Us at Dear Lagosians,
Happy Children’s Day Once Again!
To the future kingdom builders, smile keepers, scripture memorizers, and dance-floor champions of Livelygems…
You truly lit up the day.
