We think rape is a special kind of evil similar to torture and murder…
Nnamdi landed yet another punch on Adekunle’s jaw not caring if his friend of many years will lose another tooth. With the jack knife and machete strapped to Nnamdi’s waistband gleaming and dangling, the small crowd attracted by the fighting duo did not intervene.
Nnamdi was unrelenting and would have dealt a fatal machete blow on his friend if he did not manage to escape. Adekunle took to his heels with Nnamdi in hot pursuit.
They had barely gotten out of sight when tongues started wagging! The show of shame by two seemingly bosom friends was caused by rape. Adekunle raped his friend’s younger sister!
The crowd made of neighbours and passers was not sympathetic at all. Nnamdi and Adekunle are “serial rapists” who dehumanise girls with most never speaking up. The motley crowd gloated and could not understand Nnamdi’s raving mad reaction.
More recently, Nnamdi and Adekunle’s parent defended the young men and pulled all the stops to prevent them from answering for a case of rape despite glaring evidence against the duo. It became clear how the two young men became monsters – they were carefully taught.
Their fathers raised them as men, real men! When both boys want something, it must be given to them immediately. They do not take no for an answer. “Real men” resolve arguments with a punch in the face and machete cuts. They brawl in bars in drunken stupor.
Now that Adekunle has violated Nnamdi’s sister, the centre cannot hold any longer for the two partners in crime. They fought bitterly, loudly and publicly, bruising and hurting each other while further traumatising their silent victims by telling insidious tales.
Nnamdi lost his life to a fatal blow from Adekunle, the sister too to suicide. Same for two other depressed victims central to tales which have developed wings and are being traded openly in the neighbourhood. Lives and families were ruined, same for the pretentious peace in the neighbourhood
Adekunle ended up in jail for serial rape and murder and could no longer commit sexual assault and other forms of sexual penetration without the consent of his victims.
Rape, usually carried out using physical force, coercion, abuse of authority, or against a person who is incapable of giving valid consent, is destroying lives, families and societies.
Let’s stop raising rapists. Their evil actions have has very dire consequence for victims.
