We live in a society that says don’t get raped instead of don’t rape!
Campus sexual assault is common – much more common than many people imagine. From polytechnics to universities and colleges of education, it is an under-reported crime. It is being fueled by status, under-aged alcohol consumption, environmental factors such as peer and cult group support for sexual aggression, reluctance of victims to report the crime due to shame and fear, and authorities not addressing reported cases.
Nearly all sexual assault victims on campuses know the person(s) who raped them, and continue to see, possibly engage and interact with their despoilers. Victims of rape are more likely to suffer from depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, abuse alcohol/drugs, and more likely to contemplate suicide.
Yet, it is an unfortunate reality that sex on campuses are not always consensual. And a lot of “sex” happen on campuses.
Who are the vulnerables on campuses?
First-year students are the most vulnerable to sexual assault because they not exposed to informal strategies used by older students to avoid unwanted sexual attention.
First-year students are more vulnerable to sexual assault during their first semester because they do not have close friends who could intervene if they are in danger of assault.
Reported rate of sexual assault is highest among fresh female undergraduates, and higher among second year (sophomore female) compared to those in the third and fourth year in polytechnics and universities.
Females knowingly or unknowingly dating secret cult members on campus are exposed to punitive or payback rape by members of rival groups on and off campus
Female members of secret cults are also exposed to ceremonial gang-rape as part of their initiation process by the members of affiliated male cult group providing them with cover and protection.
Meet the sexual predators?
Cult members and club boys are more likely than other undergraduates to engage in rape for reasons that include peer acceptance, drugs and alcohol use, acceptance of rape myths and viewing women as sexual objects. This category of rapists, the most dangerous of all, are power and sadistic rapists.
The status rapists are academic and non-academic staff of universities who use their clout and office to intimidate and force undergraduates to have sexual relations with them.
Members of female secret cults rape too. Their victims can be both male and female.
Where they do it!
A great number of sexual assaults that occur on campuses happen in either the victim’s dorm or apartment. A greater portion of the time these rapes occur off campus than on campus. Students living off campus are more vulnerable.
Exclusive parties organized by exclusive all-male social clubs and secret cults have gang rapes, date rapes, and acquaintance rapes as essential features. Without it, the parties are not complete!
Private offices! This domain is the exclusive preserve of academic and non-academic staff who take advantage of female undergraduates that come to their office for official reasons.
Even raped men keep mute!
Many victims completely or partially blame themselves for the assault because they are embarrassed and ashamed, or fear not being believed.
Male sexual assault victims have fewer resources and greater stigma than do female sexual assault victims.
There is a high season for rape?
A larger portion of sexual assaults occur in either September, October, or November. Undergraduates students are at an increased risk during the first few months of their first and second semesters in a college of education, polytechnic or university.
