By sometimes, the sun smiles to a fault
& flowers wilt from so much love.
sometimes, clouds tear down to soften the earth
only to open floodgates that man begs for shine.
life throws tantrums in tonnes, you learn
to chameleon into forms you do not know:
~ you become shapeless, like amoeba
~ you become water, ice & then air
life’s aches thunderstorms into the marrow
so, you must learn to breathe underwater.
