Nearly Faded Glory

I’ve fallen out of myself
Even While I strive to pick
My fragments into a whole.
I’ve become a casualty
of disloyalty emanating
From the bottom-heart
Of men.
I’ve been immersed in my past
That still got my body shivering
Like a quaking earth that fell
Victim of Devil’s prey.
All time past, I’ve always worn
This memory as a crown of gory,
While it causes a tremendous storm
in my body, that haltlessly drown
Me like the cloud drowns the sun.
But I’d earn this sleep tonight
That I may see the sun rise
From the deep mouth of the cloud
In the morning.
